Let us practice the ascending series of triads placed in a chromatic and diatonic scale. As a musician, it is important that you can differentiate the triad’s quality by listening. While practicing this exercise, categorize each triad according to its quality. Characterize (in your own way) the color of each quality, and think about what it means to you. Does a triad remind you of a certain object or emotion?
